Terracotta lekanis

Bronze age (Around 1200 B.C.)
H: 1.25 cm RIM: 19.00 cm BASE: 13.00 cm

The shape is cylindrical, open upwards, with a wide rim, on which there is a small handle and a tiny bottle, which is the reason why the vessel may be considered as a kernos. On the yellow-brown slip, the decoration is of a dark brown paint: horizontal lines, small lines and a chain of striped lozenges round the body, with loops at the joints.
